yes they can hear you, in fact it is good to talk so they know your voice, and it is easier to bond after the birth, and you as a father will be able to get the baby to stop crying by talking to it, because it knows your voice. by the way, BOY,OR GIRL?I do not like saying it.

also I read that putting a headset with music on the tummy helps develop the child it expands its world and lets it learn at a faster pace.
